RALEIGH — A Raleigh company is collaborating with the federal government on a drone research project that could one day enable fleets of unmanned aerial vehicles in American skies.

NASA, best known for its space flight efforts, is developing a concept to manage unmanned air traffic, and Raleigh’s PrecisionHawk is a collaborator.
