LOS ANGELES — Instagram wasn’t shy about giving Snapchat due credit when it introduced a copy-cat ephemeral feature three months ago.
Now Snapchat is taking a page from its social-media rival, adding the ability to rewind Stories by tapping left on the screen in a new update today.
Users can also swipe left to restart a Story from the beginning. Before, to rewatch something they missed or wanted to see again, users would have to hunt it down again among their already-viewed Stories.
