
SILICON VALLEY — Mountain View-based electric go-kart startup Actev Motors this week announced it’s begun shipping orders to customers, and taking preorders for delivery in 2017.
The startup is backed by Nest cofounder Tony Fadell, who got the idea after finding a gap in the children’s go-kart market: There were slow electric karts for 5-year-olds, and fast, gas-powered karts for kids 10 and older.
