SILICON VALLEY — Facebook routinely buys stolen passwords from the black market, in hopes of notifying people when their passwords on the site are not secure, Chief Security Officer said at a technology conference Wednesday.

“The reuse of passwords is the No. 1 cause of harm on the Internet,” Alex Stamos said, according to CNET.
