
SILICON VALLEY — Facebook is changing its advertising targeting tools to no longer allow companies to exclude people from seeing ads for jobs, housing or credit, based on their racial or ethnic group.
In late October, journalists at ProPublica described buying a housing ad on Facebook that included options to exclude black people, Asians and Hispanics from seeing the ad.
