SAN FRANCISCO — The typical office vending machine isn’t usually thought of as a good food destination. Megan Mokri, the founder and CEO of Byte Foods, wants to change that. Her company has introduced units to hundreds of workplaces across the country that make healthy, fresh food available through refrigerated kiosks.

The idea is to bring a retail experience like that of Whole Foods into the office. In doing so, she hopes to boost the well-being of employees, while also improving worker productivity…
